Personality: Melk Abbey is nice to everyone! Even if someone is mean, taught her, or is utterly rude, she easily forgives them. Well, except for a certain male human in her past but he is the only one and she did forgive him, she's just more nervous now because of it. Anyways, Abbey is not one to take things to heavily unless someone makes it obvious that they wanted her to take it to heavily. And even then it depends on what it is. She takes very nice things to heart as well as very, truly meant, mean things. But when their empty threats or just rude remarks that are meant to make her mad, she brushes off and continues on happily.
Abbey is sort of gullible into thinking that when a horse is pretty on the outside, they're probably very pretty on the inside too. Unless they are extremely rude - then of course she sees it but if their only pompous or seem to have the capability to be nice, then they must be nice at some point! Right? Well, at least in her mind they do. Along with this, she does all she can to be nice and friendly, maybe once in a while showing off so to make it seem like shes talented, which gets friend's and respect, right? Anyways, friends are the key to happiness and when you're in need, their always first to help. So for Abbey, their one of the most important things in life along with her life on stage. (Friendship is magic?)
Abbey is quite calm and collected for the most part, not particularly bubbly, but almost always happy. She's definitely an optimistic person and sees the glass half full. She has her moments of complete seriousness and maturity and her other moments of silliness and foalishness. But always dedicated and honest in all situations. She doesn't normally lie and its hard for her to keep secrets. So normally she keeps her mind to her career and Cesar and if anyone asks, well, she'll pretty much tell them without meaning too. It's not that she's talkative at all, just that she usually spills the first thing that comes to her mind, no matter how it sounds and doesn't think much about it until the next few moments were she will either kind of forget about it or hate herself for the next few hours for saying it.

Biography:
Abbey was born in the late afternoon in the stables of a company that bred horses. She didn't get to be around her parents much, weaned from her mother as soon as possible without causing too much damage. The company was to bred as quickly as possible then sell the foals. But the little time that she did get to spend with her parents, were very nice. Of course, they didn't try to attach themselves to much to their new daughter, but they still were kind to her. It was one of her first lessons of life. Nothing lasts forever so enjoy it while you can.
Abbey was sold to a very rich man who had a son that wished to become a popular dressage rider. The boy was already trained in the basics of dressage and had already ridden a dressage horse but the other horse had grown too old to compete in anything anymore. At this point, she was named Young Bronze. She hated the name but it wasn't like she could really argue with the human. Once she turned one, the boy automatically started to try and teach the very young horse, though they could not be professionally be trained till the horse was four years old.
Abbey showed promise and worked hard. She learned the hard way that there were some humans that would not put up with laziness. On several occasions when she refused to obey, the boy was not hesitant to use a whip on her. She hated that whip. If the sound wasn't enough, he would use it on her and the pain was.. well... painful. Sometimes, if the boy was bored of that, he would use sharp objects and make short and not deep cuts on her with stones or even a dull knife. But most of the time he didn't and she obeyed and she learned much. So much that when she turned two and a half, they entered her into the famous horse dressage school.
They normally did not take in horses of her breed or age, but money and her ability was enough for them. The school was called the Spanish Riding School and she learned much more - and hurt much less- then when the boy taught her. There she learned true grace and found her heart and passion into the sort of dance. She saw the older and more professional horses and envied their experience and build. They made it look so effortless, but so beautiful. In this time, she learned that devotion and passion could drive a person, or rather, a horse far. Knowledge and experience was something that was to be earned through time and was something special. And most importantly, do not anger the humans with disobedience.
The man then found an older and much less expensive horse for his boy that already knew dressage and then sold Abbey to a man. From first glance, she could tell that his man was much kinder and would be much happier with her. The man was looking for companionship and had bought Abbey at a more expensive price then he would have liked. The man lived quite a while away from Venice, and so they traveled to the town of Melk, where the man lived. He was indeed kind to her and was able to keep her happy while she was also able to keep him happy. He worked her, him owning a small ranch, and she didn't mind. It easily built her strength and stamina and she knew that it would help her with her dressage, something she missed doing but practiced when he wasn't around.
Something then happened and the man could not pay for his little ranch so with much depression and sadness, he sold her to an old friend of his whom lived in France. He made the friend swear that he would keep her name as he called her, Melk Abbey. The man did so and took her far away from her home land, a place she would greatly miss but looked forward to where she was going. It didn't take long for the man to realize her talent and ability in dressage. Since he wasn't going to keep her long, he felt that he could make a little profit and sell her to the opera house that he went to once and even attempted to work at. She was four when they bought her and quickly made her into a show horse. It was the best thing that had happened to her. She found her heart was the stage and the people that went there and worked at the opera. She never quite remembered the humans that had passed her along strangely, but their deeds would not be forgotten, and that's how she would keep it. Since Abbey knew that this was her home, her last stop, she learned the human's names and kept them all in her heart. Along with her other new friends, other horses, and one in particular, named Cesar.

Tonight's show was simple enough, all she had to do was stand there and look pretty. Well, really, that's what they usual had her do, but sometimes they would have her do little tricks and make her do more than stand around or be led from one side of the stage to the other. Which is what she preferred, doing something rather than just standing around but hey, she still got treats for it.
Abbey watched the dancers prance about the stage, their feet so light and were very silent, at least compared to the sound that her own hoofs made when she walked on the stage. Though she was practicing walking lightly like the humans did, with not too much success. Suppose it didn't matter too much, since they didn't expect her to be silent, only to be able to do what they ask of her and for her to keep to her fluid horse movements, though she believed she could do so much more than they believed she could. They weren't the only ones that had someone they wanted to impress.
