Personality:
Most assuredly when one first meets Ludivine she will come across as a shy and reserved (introverted) child. However, once she gets to know the person she opens up and could be called a closet extrovert. Her change in personality catches people off guard and they are often accosted by precocious chatter and many questions. People often wonder where the little creature has come from for she has a habit of popping up seemingly from nowhere. The word “curious” truly describes Ludivine.
Also, she is an affectionate child without anyone really to be affectionate towards. So when Ludivine does make a connection with someone she could be described as clingy. Other symptoms of distress related to her “abandonment” pervade however. For example, at night she often has dreams or nightmares rather that disturb her sleep. Ludivine wakes at night and finds it difficult to return to sleep… so much so that she is tired throughout the day.
When she has a good night’s sleep, however, she is quite energetic and fun loving. She enjoys playing games of most any kind. Her most favorite game, of course, being hide and go seek. This game correlates with her current state of being. For example, the hiding portion of the game signifies her insecurities and the seeking portion signifies her searching or yearning for something more.

Biography:
Ludivine Thérèse Neville was born March 4th, 1879 in Paris, France. Her parents, Ludovic and Thérèse Neville (née Chevalier), had been so elated to have a child that when tragedy overtook the event their world all but fell to shambles. Thérèse passed away from complications and Ludovic was never quite the same. Instead of celebrating life with his little daughter he had a very hard time even being close to her (especially as she grew older for she looked very much like her mother). When Ludivine was arguably not yet old enough her father enrolled her in the Opéra Garnier’s ballet school and was accepted (as her mother had been a former dancer/ instructor of some distinction).
Ludivine now spends all her days at the Opéra Garnier except on a few special occasions when she sees her father. Despite her father’s distance Ludivine loves her father and tries to please him so that he may take her home with him (though at her young age doesn’t fully understand the scope of their strained relationship). Even though she wishes her father would take her home she does enjoy ballet and would like to be just like her mother. She occasionally hears hushed stories about her mother from people who had known her (quite often she is referenced as little Chevalier after her mother). When she is not practicing dance with the other young students she can be found playing with them (though infrequent for she enjoys being not found).
Hide and seek is her favorite game and in a place like the Opéra Garnier the game becomes quite the adventure. Typically, whoever has set out to find her can bet that it will take them some astuteness to find her (the little girl is so small and can easily hide in little nooks and crannies). However, if the seeker takes too long Ludivine will become disinterested and set out on her own to explore the Opéra Garnier. On her explorations she finds many interesting things, places, and people. For example, on one such occasion Ludivine found herself on stage at one of the opera rehearsals conversing with no one less than the leading man who was to be in character that very moment (in jest he created her his leading lady and led her about in a short dance before the director cut the fun short).
Recently, Ludivine has become more daring and has gotten farther into the recesses of the building (despite the darkness and dangers curiosity has superseded her fear). Along with stories of her mother other stories have circulated as well. Stories of a ghost in the shadows… could her own mother too be a ghost? Could she be here somewhere? A part of Ludivine held on to that belief for at her age she very much needed a way to cope with the absence of not having a mother.
What Ludivine did not know, however, was that very soon her father too was to become nearly totally absent. Not in death but by blatant avoidance (visits have become farther and fewer in between). He continues to send tuition payment for her schooling but for how long? What of Ludivine then? Will father and child be able to reconnect? Only time will provide that answer.

Ludivine woke with a start. Her heart beat slowed from its fast pace and her blue-grey eyes searched the darkness. The ballet dormitory was still and quiet… the other children slept soundly and without qualm. Ludivine wiped the tears that had collected from her eyes and suppressed a sob as she thought of what she had dreamt. Thank goodness that is all it was.
Ludivine slid out of bed and pulled her blanket about herself… draped from over her head. She slowly crept from her bed to the door. The door creaked loudly as Ludivine reached and pulled it open. “Ludivine, go back to sleep.” whispered an older girl who knew her habits. Ludivine merely shook her head and slipped from the room into the great house where who knows what could happen.

Every year we put on a performance that involves acting (ex. Cinderella).
